Mint Julep Recipe - Great when served in one of our sterling silver mint julep cups! Make a syrup with sugar by putting 4 tablespoons of water and 4 tablespoons of sugar in a small pan, cook and stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Bring the mixture to boil and continue to cook for a approximately one minute. Let it cool before using it to make the mint juleps. Be sure to put your julep cups in the fridge to chill them! Sterling silver mint julep cups chill very quickly! For one julep you will need: 1 silver mint julep cup chilled 8 ice cubes crushed (put them in a plastic bag, close it and crush the ice cubes if you do not have crushed ice handy) 1 tablespoon of the sugar syrup (recipe above) 1 sprig of fresh mint 2 jiggers of bourbon Place all the above into a blender and mix on low. Pour into one of our chilled discount silver mint julep cups and place a sprig of the mint on the top to decorate. *For a little different taste, add a jigger of creme de menthe to the above recipe before you pour into your silver julep cups.
